My Name is Tammie Mericle and I have been practicing as a RN for 16 years with the last several years as an Independent Nurse Contractor. I’ve worked in a variety of fields; pediatrics, med-surg., home health, emergency room, critical care and acute rehab. I absolutely love nursing but am not all that crazy about all the politics and the pay has always been a sore spot.

 I’d worked as a Traveling Nurse for several years and was amazed to find out what an agency was actually charging for a Nurse. It really seemed that I was doing all the leg work myself. I decided to cut out the middleman and am now practicing as an Independent Nurse Contractor .I work most of my contracts in hospital settings and it is such a wonderful change.  I named my Company Mericle RN Staffing LLC and decided to do it on my own. I talked about it for several months and then one day I made up my mind I was going to take a chance. It has been such a great change but along the way I discovered that many nurses were not that familiar with the process. Many were interested but had no idea where to start.
